Unstable boost after installation of 3port and retune
So Bryan was able to fix the issues with the boost in gears 2-6 by working his magic, and the car runs MUCH better now. The car runs perfectly in gears 2-6.
We ran into an interesting problem with 1st gear though. When he datalogged the car, it turns out that the ECU was cutting my throttle body position to 40% even though the pedal was floored. The cut in throttle position coincided with the boost drop. I didn't have this issue with the stock solenoid, so the current thought is the turbo is spooling too fast and making too much power and the TCU is going into a 'protection mode'. We tried turning off the traction control, but it didn't make a difference.
Anybody else have this issue? Anybody know how to solve it? I may just HAVE to get a bigger turbo with more lag so this won't happen in 1st gear. ;-)

it's not boost correction. We tried turning it off completely and it still acted the same. Something (TCU?) is preventing early spool and full boost in 1st gear by cutting back throttle body position. This is ONLY in 1st gear.
I remember ECUTek had a map for the 09/10 EvoX SST models specific for 1st gear load or power control. It said something like it needs to be adjusted to raise the power limit on 1st gear or something like that.

yeh the ECU has the capability (and in fact some stock ROM's have lower boost in 1st)
but this isnt that problem.
you can actually see the Throttle being reduced, even though the Accelerator Pedal is @WOT...
so hopefully the maps I found/sent to Bryan will help here...

I do not get it, why are people having such problems holding boost on MR's? The MR's I have tuned I have been able to work out the boost fall off no problem.
I just did a MR with 400+ HP with no boost fade or RPM draw back.
I think it would be more helpfull to everyone if someone would step up and say what they did you fix this, instead of just.
Its fixed.
Soooooooooo what was done?

Thanks again.
Won't do it at higher RPM in 1st and it won't do it in any other gears.
