hey guys is this true... if i change my 08 evo x stock wastegate on a stock turbo i will gain HP and will not lose psi all the way to red line???

WHY IS THIS IN the Evo X Engine Management / Tuning Forum? Oh, because it has nothing to do with engine management but some posters like to dump everything here.
Why hasn't this topic been covered already?! Oh, it has.... and its just like the VIII/IX or any other car.

Sure it can help you hold a little more boost. No, just adding it if you already have a base flash won't help you *that* much. If you are just running pump gas it is not going to help much anyway, because the reason the boost is falling off is because the turbo is inefficient at that boost level / airflow rate. You are mostly just blowing hot air.
Get a 3-port and base flash instead, and if you are going to go race fuel / meth / e85 you can pick up one of these and help hold a little more boost.
