need urgent help...!

hi all @ evolutionm...

we installed a cosworth camshaft to our car evo X, now the question is :
do have anyone the map of MIVEC cam gear position it means the MIVEC cam gear degree values....
the car is running idle between the rpm range of 5500-7800 rpm we have hp loss at this range...the current cam gear degree is stock,10 degree at this range...

the car is fully build by the way new engine block ( buttom ) with forged pistons and connecting rods,fp red turbo kit,750 cc injectors, air intake,turbo-back exhaust system....it is running continuously 23-24 psi...and it's already re-mapped but just need the above mentioned map for MIVEC cam gear...

waiting for your support guys...appreciate the info's....thanks in advance...

Your car idles at 5500 to 7800 RPM?!?!? Or do you mean 550 to 780? If you want better idle, raise the ign timing in the idle load/rpm area around 5 degrees, raise the idle around 150 RPM, and be sure to set your injector scaling & latency properly.

As for mivec settings with Cosworth cams, I always had best results with peaks of 28 degrees or so on intake and gradually going to 10 degrees by redline. Exhaust seemed best with 0 degrees, increasing the overlap by retarding the exhaust usually results in higher boost but it didn't seem to increase power.

It would be nice if your thread topic name could be something other than "need urgent help...!" ...that might get you better coverage.

If your car is idling at 5500-7800 RPM then you will need more than a MIVEC map.

i think i need just the MIVEC cam gear degree at the rpm range of 5500-7800..
now it is running by 10 degree as it is stock cam.....and we want to know what is the limit of the cosworth cam gear degree ?? i mean the lifting of the valvetrain through this cosworth cam....

For me I run around 15 degrees at 5500 then gradually go to 10 degrees by 6500. On the exhaust, it's 0 degrees all in that range. Also note that this is my experience with Cosworth cams with a Dom 2.0 turbo. You can try increasing the intake mivec but when I do it, the boost rises but the power doesn't...... Maybe the FP Red will act differently.
