Cobb tune w test pipe?

does cobb offer a map for just a test pipe? looked over there site and did not see anything.

really want to do a custom tune w test pipe, but after reading all these horror stories with dealers voiding warranties i want to go with a cobb AP since you can go back to stock without effecting the reflash counter.

You may just overboost with their Stage 2 maps. If you leave the boost pill in and use stage 2 you may be fine. If you over boost with that, try their LWG maps.

it doesnt look like they just offer a map for a test pipe but
"AccessTUNER Pro for the EVO X is available to the COBB Pro Tuner network. AccessTUNER Pro allows professional engine tuners to custom tune any combination of modifications to achieve their maximum power potential."

Anyone's base flash should work fine if you just want a test pipe. That said, thats a horrible mod to be the only one to do to your car unless you are track only . Worst of the environmental impacts.

In any case, I'm not aware of the flash counter actually existing, I believe it is only a rumor still. The only thing I know if is the chain counter, and that has to be reset by a tech each flash... so AP would reset it just the same as ecuflash.

I am running Cobb Stage 2 AMS 93 map and I was overboosting with my test pipe, especially at part throttle. We tweaked MIVEC a bit and scaled back WGDC and all is good now. Hitting ~25 PSI by 3500 and tapering to ~18 PSI at 7k.

In the end HollywoodX and I did it. All they could recommend to me was to use a lower octane map, then when I hit boost max of 22, they said looks good to us, keep an eye on it. HollywoodX and I used a proven MIVEC map which totally eliminated the part throttle overboost, then we scaled peak boost back to the ~25psi range and then filled in the gaps and boom... Car pulls like a mother and there is no knock and max boost rests at about ~25.5 and AFR's sit nicely at mid 11's, boost is tapering to ~17-18psi.

Thanks HollywoodX! He did this **** for free, imagine if I had paid him $600...

I think he means HollywoodX used to be a woman, but now has an outie instead of an innie!
