EcuTek Question
EcuTek Question
Hey Guys,
I bought my car pre tuned and it was tuned with EcuTek.
I had a few questions was hoping if someone could toss me a few answers to clear some things up...
First I use a ScanGaugeII to monitor any CEL's I get. Lately I've been getting a few CEL's (most likely random secondary o2) but when I go check it I get weird codes rather then your normal PXXXX. Usually has C's in it or other letters and when I re-scan I get a different 'weird' code nothing normal within the ODBII code family.
I was wondering if this had something to do with being EcuTek flashed and if EcuTek doesnt display normal ODBII codes?
Also is it possible to monitor my ECU parameters with a laptop since my ECU has EcuTek on it? Do I need to buy a specific cable and by doing that can I just download the software and away I go?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

An EVO X ECU with an ECUTek license in it still uses all the original OBD2 codes and will still allow normal OBD2 logging. Your existing tune can be downloaded, saved, modified and uploaded with the normal Tactrix cable and OpenECU ECU Flash software.
