Has anyone had a problem with their EvoScan GPSNav where anytime you plug the tactrix openport 2.0 cable into it a popup appears on the screen saying that an unrecognized usb device was detected? The box then asks for the name of the driver for the device. It doesn't matter if i connect it before or after evoscan is open on the nav, it still does it.

Hamish recommended downloading EvoScan v2.2 again and extracting the EvoScanPPC folder to the SD card (rename old folder obv) and rebooting the device. This didn't work and I'm just getting a little impatient, so I thought I'd see if anyone had the same problem also.

I did check off OpenPort 2.0 under main settings also. I don't think it's the openport dongle as it connects to my laptop and evoscan and ecuflash work fine, flashed my car several times already.

Not sure if this will help, but have you fired up the ecuflash beta and gone to help->licensing to try to update the OP2.0 firmware?

 

I'll check that tomorrow morning but I'm pretty sure the first time I read my stock ECU that it updated the dongle's firmware (was using ecuflash v2.8beta at the time) first.

 

Any update on this?

 

Still doesn't work but I'm working with Hamish to try to get it fixed. I'm sure its just something stupid I did or didn't do so once we get it working I'll post up about what was wrong.
