MR/SE/RA SST R&D soldiers on...
What happened on the blue run to get that clutch slippage (I think that's what I'm seeing, odd clutch slippage well before you lifted)?
EDIT: Wait is that what it looks like when you experience fuel cut from hitting the limit?

I've been continuously following your work on the SST since you did the original ROM pull and conservative tune back in 2008 on my MR. The more I'm seeing, the more complicated the TC-SST seems. If you need another test bed, just let me know.
Conversely, everything I've heard lately make's it sound like it's not NEARLY as complicated as was once thought (the physical transmission). It seems to be more likely the ECU interpolation of signals received that is the complicated aspect. I'm in no way trying to down play all the hard work that so many have committed to over the last couple years; truly impressive that this little auto' niche has such a fantastic support structure (compared to most any other automotive forum)! But then again, I certainly can't do this, so I could be totally wrong.
im sure once we understand it - it will seem incredibly simple...
but for the time being it does my head in

Now it appears that the physical components are not alien technology, but just a really well thought out way of using existing technology (such as solenoids that clean themselves). The complex part, that leaves lesser brains a puddle of bubbling jelly, is the interpolation tables between the transmission and the engine (ECU goodness).
Keep up the good fight!!!
PS: What I think would help a lot is if we could start making replacements for the internal components (currently not available), so that as they wear down they can be upgraded. If these were replaceable then I can see a lot more people willing to push their SST in the quest to learn how it all works.Honestly, who wants to risk damaging a $10K part that is currently not serviceable if/WHEN parts wear out and/or break. Image if you couldn't replace the clutch on a Manual Transmission, and instead had to buy a whole new unit. Would you be willing to push it beyond "known limits"?
