Just a quick note to say that Colby has given me a special version of the OP20 firmware.
It's good, but not 100%
I am getting 2.5x logging speed in OP20 standalone now
Cobb are testing this on their end as well

ok I am getting 3.5x speed improvement over stock.. which is what I wanted/expected.
basically the way Colby does his intervals means you get locked into a certain polling interval.
so if you dont log the right amount of things then you dont maximise that interval.
so at the moment I am logging 14 unique things, 25 times a second, thus 350 (which is 3.5x stock, 10 things 10 times a second)
Colby is hopefully working on the request packing - which means 3 or 4 requests (as opposed to 14) will grab most of the data we need, so we might get close to 1000 things a second
data = yummy

Colby just gave me a new beta with added intervals... yay so now its not so restrictive
getting 3.3x speed improvement in OP20 using my original/everyday logcfg file
If I had petrol in my car I would go do a pull and post the wonderful data...
He is also looking into the "request packing" feature...

depends how they were coded.
the beta of evoscan I am using see's the 3.5x speed increase automatically - but its being a bit flaky and keeps crashing..
Hamish is looking at the problem...
