Hi Guys,
As promised here are *some* of the results from my SST Dyno testing.
Bryan@GST already posted up some data, but I figured I would post up my findings regarding clutch pressure and slip rates when changing between Normal, Sport and SuperSport transmission modes:
Normal:

Sport:

SSport:

Summary:
SSport really cranks up the clutch pressures over Sport and Normal and this really eliminates clutch slip.
Car:
2008 EvoX MR
TBE
3port
Cosworth Filter
GTX3076R
98RON
All pulls where done in 4th gear on a Mainline Dyno.
Thanks to Cobb for sponsoring my time and thanks to RoadTrackRally for the dyno time

So what i got is that S-Sport is less abusive on your clutches? Am I right to get this conclusion form the grahps if so then i should be in S-Sport all the time(manual) as to not be red lining all the time?
Trending Topics
but as you also know it makes the shifts more abrupt
If you can live with it, S/Sport will technically look after the clutches better... that's what i get out of this data aswell.
Personally i either drive in Normal/full auto / granma mode , or S/Sport full kill mode

I don't think Sport ever gets engaged, except to switch from one to the other.
Is there a chance to enable selecting S-Sport during driving?
I usually use paddle shifting, but I get really angry when I take off and then realize I did not change the shifting mode and have to stop to change it....
Well, the abrupt changes of S-Sport might also be harder on the transmission itself and the rest of the drive-train. So it's a trade-off of clutch linings wearing faster or transmission gears, bearings etc wearing out faster, IMO.
Or best yet, I would love to tweak the NORMAL mode shift points to occur a little later and the SPORT mode shift points a little earlier. The two just seem a bit too far apart on the docile to agressive scale and I find myself either in NORMAL or MANUAL modes exclussively on the street.
