looking for any Evo owners in new england who can shed light on their experience. i was planning on making a roadtrip to Ivey in NY but if there is a reputable, experienced tuner closer that can provide good results im down.

Please reply with year, gsr/mr, tuner shop, power mods, and results.

I ended up making the road trip to Ivey (~6.5 hrs each way) and I've been very happy with the results and their customer service.

Alex emailed me back this morning and seemed reluctant. It sounds like they dont have much experience with X's and havent seen the success other tuners have with them. Did you get yours tuned there Robevo?

Try Kaizen Tuning in Acton MA (in the process of moving to boxborough). Most of the Evos in MA take their cars to them. They're very experienced in tuning GSRs and MRs. Their tuner used to own an MR. They also have an Evo X time attack car that's won 1st place in it's class (unlimited AWD) the 2 times it's raced this season.

Did you get your car from Cornerstone? I'm actually trading in my 2010 PB GSR for a 2012 MGP MR. Going to pick it up tomorrow night.

 

I did buy from cornerstone. hated every minute of it; thank god the car is worth it.

 

I'm buying my new one there... supposed to pick it up tonight. Not holding my breath though. Was supposed to get it saturday afternoon but when I called they said it wasn't ready and someone was supposed to call me a few days prior.

We have a group called NEEVO (New England Evo) but we're more active on the other forum (evoxforums dot com). There's 30+ of us we all get together from time to time for movies, cruises, track days, dinner, etc...

But yeah, like I said we all mostly take our cars to Kaizen Tuning. They take good care of us and have a good tuner who has first hand experience with our cars. They even give you a small discount if you're a NEEVO member!

 

ill have to take a ride up there and talk with them. i was talking to dynotech as well. hadnt heard anyone mention kaizen all though i had found them on the web. I have been in touch with a couple NEEVO guys as well so should see everyone next time youre out. been seeing the bear notch posts in my other thread. excited to meet you guys.
