About how much does it run for a pro tune? I just got quoted 800, 500 for the tune 150 for the precheckup and 150 for a solenoid + install.

going rate by our local evo guru, Sean at FFtec, is $500 for a basic dyno tune(2hrs @ $250/hr), and i believe their pre-dyno inspection/boost leak test runs $55 additional(i could be wrong, but i think i remembered correctly)

your quote sounds about right including a EBCS+install

I have only been to the same tuner twice, but have never been quoted that much. 500 for the tune itself, and 150 for a "pre-inspection" just seems like alot.

$500. My tuner installed my Grimmspeed 3-port, leak-down test, and tune.

Why not just do the boost leak test yourself and save $150?

Well I guess its because FFTec is the only reputable tuner in NorCal so they can set the price. It is pretty pricey

ya unfortunately their is no more tuners in the bay area that is reputable Sean@fftec is one of the last and i took my ex girlfriends evo x to him and he did an excellent job.... so as of now until we have more tuners show up $800 is what were are left to pay for.

ecuteck tune needs $250 license fee+ the tuner price. Open source are cheaper. I like ecuteck better then open source.
I would say around $600 on stockish car with stock ECU.
