campaign sc-13-004 to update the ecm software !!!

I just received the campaign in the mail to flash the ecm software. but since im already tuned. there is no use for me to have this done. since i dont want to loose my tune. even tho i can reflash it with my cobb ap. but that would turn it back to how it is now.. anybody have input on this issue ?

An improper allowed torque threshold value sets off the mil. Can anyone confirm if it means the car allows too much torque now, or it does not currently allow enough torque?

I got the same thing in the mail. If you are running a custom flash I see no reason to get the flash done at the dealer as it will just over-write it.

I got this notice also and I am wondering if this will really over write an ECU custom tune. Can anyone else comment on this?

If I could merge threads from different sub-forums, I would. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-x-recall.html The other name for this recall is C1311w.

I also had work done on the car and they flashed the new ECM update. I want to flash back. ECUflash says I don't have the definitions for this ECU image (now that it's updated). Goldenevo doesn't have the definitions. Can I just flash my old map right to the ECU without this file? I want to make sure I can flash back to this new "stock" setting before re flashing my old map.

I don't mean to hijack the thread but I think this is relevant. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!!

I work at a mitsu dealer so i was able to have them go through all the flashes to get my ecu back to stock. There was alot of maps to choose from. It took the new map just fine, I dont know which map they put back into it but it runs like it did before the update.

Maybe this is a more general question that you or someone can answer and I'm just missing an obvious thing. I'm missing where the definitions come into play. Do I need the definitions for the new ROM ID (55590011) in order to flash my old map (55590006) to the ECU? Or will it simply overwrite the new dealer-flashed ecu?

Unless there is an official confirmation from Mitsubishi its considered hear-say. Dealers usually dont know much. For some reason.
