Gauges

How necessary are gauges or logging device for a car with a cat back, and simple stage 1 tune or a HFC, good custom tune. I either want to use an AP3 temporarily to insure things are okay, or very refined gauges. But not fond of permanent use of an AP3, or out of place gauges. the only spot I really like is the AC vent on left side of radio on 2014. I don't want one hanging off my steering column. None at all IF it's safe would be my preference.

I would get boost and oil temp at the least...don't want the oil. To get ridiculously hot

Yes, agree, a combo gauge and oil temp is what I was thinking but where to put them is the dilemma. Not many options. Not fond of the pillar mount nor in front of my main instrument cluster. So either a low profile dash mount or something else but not much commercially available.

I think the combo gauges I have seen are wideband and boost in one. So I was thinking this alone or in combo with an oil temp gauge.

oil and egt is good to have but not must for daily uses. Since you already have wideband/boost gauge, just get what you feel to have second one.

I'm only running a wideband and I have boost live data going through my Accessport when driving. I prefer to keep everything more clean and avoid too many gauges.
