My first Evo/Recalls

Hi guys I am new to the forums and recently purchased a 2010 Evo 10 about 2 weeks ago and my first check engine light appeared for a code P2096 I believe it's something for an 02 sensor, current mods on this car is ets intake w/ K&N filter turbo smart bov, downpipe unsure of what kind maybe even a test pipe with a ets exhaust plus a stage 2 pro tune if any one can help here that would be most helpful, plus I did notice on the carfax that the car has 6 open recalls that I guess previous owner did not do, can this be related and should I be worried about the tune, wouldn't that make it not run right ?

i recommand find a good dealer near you and get recall done first. Your code says few different things, not really sure its because recalls.

I did a quick search and found this old thread. May give you some ideas on what to check.
Do you have a wideband installed to check your afr?

Also, not sure how dealerships handle recalls on modified cars. Maybe others with experience can chime in.

I am no pro, but I am guessing if you are having cooler weather your tune might be showings little leaner that is triggering the code. That's why I asked if you already had a wideband sensor and gauge to confirm your air fuel ratio.

I believe when I was checking underneath the vehicle, my mechanic who I work with said there something to block the o2 sensor, it looked like a little J with an o2 attached with it, but I recently took my car to Autozone and cleared the codes, drove for it like 3 mins back to my house left it there, came back a couple hours later, warmed up the car for about 7 mins, drove it not even the end of the street and the service engine soon light came on, do u think it may be a o2 sensor that's bad ?
