Unhappy EcuFlash/Evoscan Help!

Hi Guys!

Im new in here.

Want to ask about tuning an EVO.

currently im using an 2009 Evo 10 SST. and running JDM 2011 MR SST Mapping. (Rom ID : 568800005)

im currently trying to log my car and fine tune with it.

Tools what i Have :

Tactrix Openport 2.0 cable and software (ecuflash)
Evoscan Software v2.9
Innovate LM-2

Im quite confuse of some mixed up with old thread and new thread.

Question.
1. Do i need to enable(copy paste hex) mode23 in my rom to do datalogging? ( i saw in the latest evoscan rom have mode23 in it)
2. Do i need to enable 2byte mode? copy paste hex also in rom xml

so if i wanted to log, in evoscan 2.9, which ecu should i pick? (mode23 JP/EU/AU Evo X, or rax Fast logging or others?

for 1st time, i wanted to log AFR, Knock Count, RPM, Timing. Boost ( target with basic lean rich table ) - can propose which other is good to log for starters

Tq Guys!!!

1) Understand basic function/feature of ECUflash (that is to use the tool).
2) Understand basic operation to read/test read/ test upload/Clear DTC
3) Understand relation between ROM ID and XML

Hi...
The most basic function I think I understand...
But need to understand better the "test" stuff...
the trouble codes I know what they are..
I know the xml is like a table that tells ecuflash what each room address do and how to display it friendly...
i just need to understand better all this...
And do not make a mess... Lolo
