Ovals are the most mature, and that's what the x is compared to the 9; mature and grown up. The average x buyer, like myself, is going to be a bit older and doesn't want anything that even resembles rice.

^Uhhh actually, the average Evo owner is in their 20's. And what would you define as "rice"?

The Evo in general is considered by most as "rice", so you might as well just go do what all the other old folk do and buy a Corvette or BMW.

Do yourself a favor and don't speak for every other Evo owner. Because the Poll results are very contrasting to what your preaching.

I am getting a X in half a year or so(when my 8 is paid off) and I turned 23 today. The polls are showing the dual 4" is winning(not by too much)... Maybe I am just getting old but I don't like the dual 4" at all.. personally I don't even like one big muffler back there anymore... I think Buschurs design on the old 8/9's was my favorite.... It was smaller, lighter, and overall better looking than the big can mufflers, IMO.

Just check out these two cars and tell me the dual 3" tips don't look more mature, which is one of the reasons I am getting a X. I am keepin my 8 to be a track/weekend car and the X as a daily driver. While it isn't a BMW 335i(it definitely looks a step up in the more mature way, but still rediculously fun.)

^I hear you, and that's why there's a choice. Becuase everyone wants something different for different reasons.

The X has hard angles everywhere. The 996 was practically M&M themed with circles everywhere, in and out.

It just won't flow with the hard edged X.

well director 7, recent polls indicate that the new x is appealing to the late 20's, early 30's crowd. And I never spoke for anyone other than myself. I simply stated that the average X buyer is going to be a bit older than the average 8/9 buyer. Oval tips and the quad tips look far classier than huge 4 1/2 inch rice cans. Many people share my sentiment. If you don't, then fine. I don't really see why you are jumping down my throat, but whatever.

^I didn't mean to come off like that. I just never really thought of Dual 4" Rounds as ricey or non-classy.

Maybe if it were on a CRX.....

I make my point about the dual 4" being a little more ricey... Topic closed...

I personally prefer the quad exhaust look and would buy that if replacing the exhaust on my car.
