I don't know if you guys have seen the bush & ams thread but, according to them they've both gotten gains. Bush says 8 whp/1 tq with bolts as well. Ams says 5 whp peak rpm with up to 10whp in the midrange.

If they gains are real... then all pipes should have similar gains. The only thing I would imagine would be that a 1 pc pipe would not have the flow interruptions as a 2 pc pipe.

Agency Power has there one piece upper IC pipe out for a while. I tried to get a confirmation from Vivid Racing if the pipe is a full mandrel-bent as their pictures indicates multiple welded piece...

I just took a look at the Agency Power and I can't believe Agnecy Power is trying to $375 for the UICP it's not even a 1pc mandrel bent pipe. It's 5 pcs to make one pc.

Think of it this way... It takes a lot longer to weld 5 pieces of pipe together than it does to bend one piece.

Direct Labor and Manufacturing Overhead are higher on the Agency Power pipe.

I agree but, there is a couple of down sides to the 5 individual pcs to make a 1pc pipe & the look of it was pretty bad. I think it's pretty fair to say the 5pcs to make 1 pc is not as smooth either (internally) for the best flow.

Another thing too when you look at the price tag...even if Agency Power is using more labor to make one pipe (isn't that one them? They could have gone out and got a bender as well.), I'm sure the cost of buying U bends and cutting them up is much cheaper than paying someone to bend it in one pc or buying a bender.

In all fairness AMS & BR are much cheaper as well. They are making them in 2 pcs using bend sections too. They both have almost as much labor time in the pipe with exception to one less weld.

Hmmmm, that looks really nice. What happens when the engine moves? I just haven't looked at the design carefully enough so I don't know if that's an issue or not.

Nisei Engineering SINGLE-PIECE 1018 PROTOTYPE Upper Intercooler Pipe.

I love the fact that its one smooth mandrel-bent pipe stretching all the way from the turbo outlet all the way to the front mount. I track-tested this pipe at Streets of Willow this past Friday and it withstood the entire RPM range all day without any flex issues. Theres going to be ongoing testing before the final production piece but so far, its held up extremely well...

I dont have exact details as far as how much Nisei Engineering will be selling these for, but I do know that they will be coming out with these very soon in a variety of finishes along with some other major goodies along the way. For those of you who have had Nisei stuff in the past for your 8's and 9's, you know the high level of detail and quality that goes into their products... I know I loved all my Nisei pipes on my 9, and now on my X!!!
