Most Accurate Boost Gauge

I am currently having an issue where my AUTOMETER Boost Gauge (Phantom) reads 26 psi, and my HKS EVC read 23.8-24.5 psi. I dunno anymore which 1 is more accurate. I would like to get the most accurate boost gauge for my car so there is no confusion.

So out of all the gauges out there which is the best?

Defi is usually considered the most accurate, but they are pricey. I've also heard good things about Prosport Gauges.

We have actually had some bad luck with the Defi line in the past the BF and link guages have always been consistently 1-3 pounds off on boost.

The Blue racer and older D-Series gauges seem to be pretty accuate.

Autometer is good when you get a good gauge, every now and then you can get a bad one but they are great about replacing it.

As of late we have been playing around with the Stri line and they seem pretty accurate as well.

FYI we always test them against the AEM map sensor in the AEM EMS system as its highly accurate.

Hmm, I am curious as to which guage would be the best, 'cause the autometer on my STi wasn't accurate at all.

I am curious as to how to even quantify accuracy here. I guess if you have some gauge that is certified by some sort of measurements standards committe, then had that as the baseline, then you could measure accuracy. But comparing one off the shelf gauge to another isn't exactly accurate by any means. The other solution would be to see what the ECU reports as MAP, and compare that snap shot to your gauge.

the Prosport gauges are amazing! I recommend them to anyone, the problem is the starting ceremony beep, especially if you put many. other than that they are perfect with great accuracy.

My friend brought over his vw last year and had SW gauges. His max boost was 20psi, I took it out and put in my defi the red gauges (not the bf one) and it read 26psi.
Therefore, I do not like SW gauges.

Prosport electric boost gauge always read correct at 23psi on my WRX. The ECU agreed with it but I never tried anything else.

Go with the new Defi Red Racer Gauge (like the blue racer). They are acccurate and does not require a control unit. They will match with your factory gauge cluster quite nicely. Oh, each gauge package also comes w/ a gauge pod and mounting stand too!

I'm using the Prosport Premium (electrical) right now. It's accurate, but it has become a little noisy. The motor, and the needle rattles a little. I had Defi-D before, and I liked it, so I'll go with the new Defi red racer.
