thinking of getting a NEW turbo

Ok I have read numerous threads on both FP Reds and the Garrets and Dom 2 turbo upgrades, ok so the real question is which one is really better??? I would kind of like input from people who have by some chance worked with both to give a truly non biased opinion on them. Also I know Cyber is about to come out with their BBK for the X also and Tomei is about to come out with theirs also. I am so confused about which is truly the best option out there. Please help

it all depends on where u want your power band at and how much power you want
i currently have a fpred and am thinking about ditching it for a gt3076 since i can get one for a killer price....
there has to be more power to be made especially since the fpred still used the stock turbine housing... where as the gt30 doesnt

I have seen some nice power numbers from the FP Green (not listed on their site but they do have it) anywhere from 380whp to low 400s on pump gas with very good spool up and low end power and they are not to badly priced at $1,400

I actually wrote a thread a while ago and stated someone who knows a lot about the different turbos should put the info on a thread and we should sticky it.

I'd look into the new BBK-X turbo that CBRD just came out with.

As mentioned earlier it really depends on what your after. FP green and red bolt directly to the factory o2 housing, and are good for extremely quick spool but relatively limited horsepower +/-450. Most of the garrett setups are done so in kits and while they spool a bit slower than the green and red they are much better suited to big top end power gains. Ultimately it comes down to your specific desires.

we do have a turbo available, built from a genuine mitsu turbo, then modified and rebalanced

we will also have a tubular vband kit this spring/late winter!

its available now for pre-order... the compressor wheels should be ready in about 1.5 weeks,

we have shipped 1-2 non blue comp wheel versions to people.

definitely will probably go with CBRD's new BBK for the X, I have seen great results with their older BBKs for the 8 and 9. Cant wait to see results from this one on a X. Also curious to see this new piping setup CBRD has talked about in their thread
