Might happen when full tuning is available. EcuTek is coming very soon (if some don't already have it). With full bolt-ons and a good tune and very good driver...maybe. But, even then,

The weight and gearing kill the 1/4 mile times

according to Tomei, the EVO X exhaust cam is 224 duration which is preventing any topend from this motor at the moment. in other words, topend was sacrificed for more drivability in the midrange. so yes you are correct, the EVO X is NOT designed for drag. but then again no evo was so we need to give it about 2yrs b4 we see any real monster X's out there...
