Agreed. I like mine but it's border lining on embarrassingly loud.

Nice review, Not very often a person is honest about a big purchase like that.

I'm still sticking with mine being really quiet and enjoyable, especially at highway speeds. If you think that is loud don't buy any more exhaust mods I even put it to the wife test. She hasn't noticed yet...and she can't tell a difference between me pulling in the driveway and my neighbor coming home in his stock VIII.

Just out of curiosity, how old are you? I do not mean anything negative so please do not take it that way, I have just found that the older someone gets the "louder" an exhaust is sometimes. When I bought my VIII I was 29 and I put a straight exhaust on it, I mean no cat and no muffler. It was acceptable for a little while, but not for long. It was LOUD. I eventually put a muffler on it as it really was too much. When we went on drives with the Porsche club the guys behind me would stay well back, it was an all out aural assault on the poor guys, we would drive through Arkansas and when we went through mountain passes they would ask me to back off in fear of a rock slide...

I do not think that I will want something stupid loud on my X, throughty and deep in good, raising hell with the neighbors is not.

also one my way to the freeway every light I had weird idling? like iwas at a stop light and my idling went to like 1.5 then to .5 then to 1.5 up and down couple times in neutral with my foot off the gas? weird.

fun exhaust i want to floor it soon, try to take a video shot of it from the outside.
I read your review and ordered one from the same guys you bought yours off of. I'm coming directly from a catless VIII so I'm sure this exhaust will still be quieter than my VIII.

Have you had the dealer reflash yet?

Just installed mine half an hour ago. Not loud at all. Not a deep sound either though. I had my 05 STI for 3 years before this. The subie was deep and loud. I think its time for Mitsubishi to come out with a boxer engine for the Evo.
