A new flash should not void your warrenty, unless they go looking in your ECU maps.

If Mitsu pulls the data from the ECU post flash, and if they notice it's been modified, then you should count on the warranty being voided. However, Mitsu might even have something more sposhisticated (and I'm speculating here), because with a proprietary CANBUS word they could just broadcast whether or not the ECU has been modified any time they hook to the diagnostic port.

Just wait for ECU flash to come out. Save your tuned map and flash it back to stock when you go to the dealer.

It will definitely void your warranty if the dealer knows about it. The question is, if you remove it will the dealer know you had it. This is the same question for a flash, if you flash back to stock, will the dealer be able to determine you had a flash.

If you're seriously concerned about your warranty, I would not mod.

We HAVE TO mod. The thing runs like **** out of factory. We have to fix what mitsubishi gave us broken in the first place.

If you don't plan on modding, you shouldn't of bought an EVO in the first place.

On purpose, perhaps? Give the enthusiasts the car in dire need of 'modding' and void their warranty.
