HKS Racing Suction Reloaded For Evo X SST

New intake system just dropped from HKS:

http://www.jdmtuningnews.com/articles/7108c.htm

HKS has just released their Racing Suction Reloaded air intake system for Mitsubishi's Lancer Evolution X SST (CBA-CZ4A / 4B11). Product Code No. 70020-AM007, retail price: 65,100 yen (including tax). The system has won rave reviews for its maximum breathing ability. During the R&D process, focus was placed on improving torque in the 2500-5000 rpm range. Owners will be impressed with deeper / sportier intake sound and HKS says its fully compatible and safe to use with the stock ECU. With their LEGAMAX Premium Exhaust also installed, the tuner yielded 7.38 horsepower and 19.91 foot pounds of torque peak over stock. Not possible to install on the 5MT (5 speed manual transmission) models.

I'm very curious as to why it does not work on the 5-speed. Sounds like everyone will be designing a new intake for the MR...

The Japanese page doesn't yield anymore info, only stating it is "impossible to install on 5MT". This system consists of piping also, maybe it has to do with the routing / stuff in the way etc.. on that type car.

Yea that makes no sense, it has to fit on the GSR there are no differences in that area on the 2 plantforms. If it doesn't fit, I'll make it fit!

Only for the SST? That is very odd. I was under the impression there were no differences?

This is still for JDM models so we might be waiting a while for ours. I'm sure it will fit either MR or GSR.

there is a gsr(mt) version of the intake. i already installed it in my car, brought it from hks thailand with 22,000 bath. after installed it i find it very interesting, fuel economy is very good. but experiencing problem with cold start and find the car bit heavy till 25oo rpm. sounds amazing, and response on the mid to top end is awesome. need a tuning, and waiting for it, as after each mods i don't floor my car until get a green signal from my tuner, after a data log. its a amazing staff compare to arm intake, in my opinion.
