They used 20W-50 for the comparison? What was the rating on the ENEOS? I thought the X used the same oil as the IX ... 5W-30 or 10W-30.

I tihnk they used Crisco as a competitor. I could care less I was on the Eneos bandwagon a while back and still like it .

The ENEOS was a 0w50 so same weight oil. Not sure what the comparison was too, mobil 1? only reason I say that is the silver bottle.

Yeah, that's a very valied test...

Putting it against a "unnamed competitor" could be **** for all we know or a thicker oil. Why not just test it against the OEM mobil 1? Wouldn't that make more sense?

I think thats more dyno variance. It gained some power then lost 10lbs of torque Maybe a few HP gain but nothing that screams special. Why dont they just compare it to Amsoil and Mobile 1.

Does no good comparing it to oil nobody runs or atleast can't see whats being compared.

Remember that this is just a promotional video. Testing any oil on the dyno really wont prove anything as far as protection is concerned. There are many other tests that can be done that will prove the best oil, the dyno is not one of them.

I have a few samples on the ENEOS oil out for analysis now and I will post as soon as I see them back.

Im a firm believer in ENEOS and dont see myself using anything else. I have used Amsoil and mobil 1 EP and pretty much every other oil out there and ENEOS is the only oil that I have used with great performance and it greatly reduced the amount of oil burnoff.

I also have a sample of the 0w20 in a dd that was used for 20k, oil still had good texture and consistency, can't wait to see what the analysis looks like.

In the video, which is an ENEOS Sponsored "test", they say the other oil is a "Leading Japanese Synthetic".....

There is probably nat an Apple to Apple comparison anywhere to be found by ENEOS. The comparison is not fair utilizing a 20W-50 oil against a 0W-50 for starters and the 20W-50 was probably a Hydro-Cracked oil being compared to a PAO Synthetic.

Would like to see some ASTM Tests on the ENEOS as well... What does a lab have to say about how the oil holds up ?

Another thing is a Stock Block EVO does not call for a 50 wgt oil , it calls for a 30 which will produce more HP...

But, to keep things fair, I would love to see the ENEOS 0W-50 Tested on a Dyno against AMSOIL's new Dominator 15W-50 Racing Oil.
