New MIVEC camshafts from HKS!

Looks like HKS have finally released their 4B11 MIVEC camshafts. They are the V Cams, which maintain the variable valve timing on both the intake and exhaust sides and allow it to be controlled with the Valcon unit.

I was waiting for stock cam specs. Looking at the table above, it looks like 純正 stand for stock or OEM??? The columns are duration, lift, and overlap or lobe centerlines???

HKS

Intake
Duration: 256
Lift: 10.0mm
Overlap: 85~110
Exhaust
Duration: 248
Lift: 9.5mm
Overlap: 85~120

Stock

Intake
Duration: 256
Lift: 9.5mm
Overlap: 93~118
Exhaust
Duration: 232
Lift: 8.3mm
Overlap: 72~107

If those are correct, it looks like the X runs a less aggressive cam duration and lift when compared to the VIII. MIVEC obviously negates this. At any rate, I'm sure HKS is developing more aggressive cams. Although, 232 w/ 8.3mm lift to 248 and 9.5mm lift on the exhaust cam looks like a nice upgrade. The intake cam doesn't look like it improves much besides the .5mm bump in lift.

Experts, please chime in.

Damn no eta on the HKS cams. They are not even fully released in Japan

I will get the Brian Crowers then. They will be out soon and cost way less. How does $536 sound?

The portion that you wrote overlap is actually valve timing (centerline). The car probably wouldn't even run with 118 degrees of overlap
