Question did I get this right? where the boost pill goes

this's with regards to where the boost pill is located on a STOCK setup. I was mucking around and forgot which way the original hoses were connected. and you won't believe how much conflicting info there is in the forum

please see the pic below and the hose in question. (Noize's pic: hope you don't mind!)

did I get the orientation right? ie. the hose with the boost pill goes to the actuator? and the hose with the red line goes to the turbo outlet? (pardon the mouse-drawn-words )

The pill always goes on the hose connected to the compressor outlet.

The pill has to go to the side that connects to the wastegate. It's job is to slow the flow of boost pressure on the wastegate actuator so that the boost control solenoids can vent out the excess air to maintain a better taper. If you switch the pill around then the wastegate will vent the air faster than the solenoid can vent it out and your taper will be much worse. The picture is right.

Pill is on the pressure source side always, your theory is correct, but your side isn't.

Hose with red goes to WGA

so the pic is wrong?? ie. on a stock setup, it should be the other way round (depicted wrongly in my 1st post's pic)? STi2EvoX, I think it's your posts scattered around the forum that've been confusing me!

has anybody tried switching it around so that it's connected like in the 1st post's pic? wonder how that'd affect boost response.. hmm..
