Ya thats expensive as hell. You could put one together for a 1/3 of that price.

^ Probably not one as nice as that.

We made our own at the shop for my X

with Stainless Steel Hoses, AN fittings, Block Fittings and a Seatrab oil cooler, it came out to around $500.00.

Here is a pic:

In my opinion, the HKS unit is pricey, but is 100% bolt on, so you know fitment and quality will be top notch. IF you are a D.I.Y type of person, you can save a $$ by making your own.

Both the ARC unit and the HKS unit are an excellent option,

expensive? I think not,

I think alot of people don't look at the fact that these guys have gone out done the work done the R&D and made it happen.

If you have a look at the Evo 8/9 oil coolers they rose way above 130 on hot days at the circuit,
best i have seen is 149deg C

anyway
stick to what you know
HKS you get the additional shieldign as part of the kit.

and yes I will be running a HKS oil cooler kit for my X, along with the ARC intercooler.
they are also making a Transmission cooler for the SST.

Im not sayin the coolers dont work, im just sayin for me its not worth the money. We put coolers kits together at the shop that do just as good of a job as the hks ones for quite a bit less. And yes we have done many track day test with them.

I think you missing the point,
these arte designed to bolt ON,
not F_ around

2nd,
these come complete with heat shields and neg psi vent for added cooling,

personally i would put faith in a name brand before buying from backyard bill.

Not saying your liek that just the ammount of dodgy crap you see,
better off spending a little more and know it fits in 1/2 the time and works.
