AGP exhaust

Has anyone tried out the agp downpipe back single exit ceramic coated exhaust, or does anyone know where there is a video of how loud it is? My last vehicle was a srt-4, and after I put 3" exhaust on it with a cat and muffler, it was still so loud that I constantly got pulled over and ticketed. I don't want this happening again. Note: I did seach for this here and on youtube with no luck except for agp evo x build which doesn't talk about much about their exhaust.

I didn't know they had one out yet for the evo 10. But i can tell you from just looking at it, that is going to be loud as hell. That's is made more for track duty. Im guessing is the same exhaust they have on their evo 10 which is putting north of 500 whp with stock internals.

I recently purchased and installed this exhaust system. I've got no ties to AGP but I did buy it locally from them here in Phoenix. I'll go retrieve my review from another site and post it here in a minute.

As promised, a full review of the AGP DP back exhaust system:

(Initially posted on azawd.org)

Stock exhaust came off very easily, minus how f'in tight the bolts were on the downpipe/cat flange. Torqued at least 100 ft-lbs. Anyhow, the stock system still came off in about an hour.

I kinda fought the AGP system getting it in. I didn't really have an extra set of hands, and I didn't have much room under the car either, so I definitely didn't make things easy for myself. I definitely had things misaligned at first, but eventually got everything close. After the install I decided to look at the pictures on AGP website, and I realized it still wasn't aligned perfectly. I got back under the car and had everything nicely aligned in another hour. There are no instructions included with the kit, not that they're really necessary, but I would definitely recommend referencing the pictures on their website first. If you try to align everything based off the hangers, you'll be scratching your head in a hurry. Just reference the pictures BEFORE you start, and you'll be fine.

Power has definitely increased (duh), and you can actually hear the car now. It's noticeably louder at idle, but not much louder at cruise (at least in the cabin). However, when you get on the throttle, it's screamin loud, but that's perfectly fine by me. Keep in mind, this is a DP back cat delete kit with a resonator, so that's pretty much what you'd expect.

I have also now thrown a CEL due to low cat efficiency. Like that's a huge surprise. So, there are plenty of fixes/ideas on the interwebs to fix this sort of thing, and I've already ordered and installed a solution. For anyone who's wondering, this is the fix: http://shop.tougefactory.com/touge_f.../i-237014.aspx
Yes, I'm aware of the simple spark plug defouler mod, but there's really not enough room under the floor pan to make that work. This elbow will circumvent that. This mod only took a few minutes to install, but it did take the car two full run cycles before the CEL shut off. It wasn't until I started it a third time that the CEL went off. I'm back to a codeless state again, and I'm quite pleased.

Unfortunately, I don't have a video camera, so I can't post any sound clips for you guys. I tried to take one on my phone, but it sounded like a child's RC car. Maybe one of the guys on [azawd.org] will bring a camera and take some film for me next time I meet up with them.

I'd recommend the AGP kit to anyone, but you definitely need to get some sort of O2 fix if you don't like amber lights glowing on your instrument display.

Feel free to post any questions.

Sorry to keep adding posts, but I forgot one last thing. I'm going to have the car back on the dyno again on Saturday morning, so I'll have some nice before/after numbers for all of you. In addition to the exhaust, I have an Agency Power short ram intake, a Hallman MBC, and the car has been tuned by Phuong Nguyen at Wingz Performance. The car was tuned and was on the dyno a week before the exhaust install, and now I'll have it back on the dyno a couple weeks after the exhaust install. Previously, the car made around 290 whp. You can check out the car and the old dyno print at: http://www.wingzperformance.com/customer.html and click on "Mitsubishi EVO/DSM". My car is the silver X on the bottom left.

It has about as deep of an idle as your going to get with a four cylinder, I'll put it that way. I grew up on V8s, so that's my bias.

When I say screamin loud, its far from ricey-bat-s**t annoying. Much more of the "Here I come MF" loud.

I ended up putting AMS single exit exhaust on mine yesterday. I was going with agp at first, but I didn't want the resonated test pipe (I knew I would just switch it to non resonated later on). I still think agp's DPE is a great deal.

Pic of my exhaust. Pure sex.

^^^ That's looks good. Now we need a car with the AGP to compare better how the black looks. Need a pic with the same distance as above.

So I've waited far too long for this update, but I'll try to kill a few birds here at once. I dyno'd my car after the AGP Exhaust install, and I picked up 24whp and 30wtq. I'm still very happy as well.

I don't have any sound clips that I've taken, but I'm positive AGP's car in this clip is using the exhaust. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTbLhTRiSIE

Finally, I tried to take a picture of the exhaust exit on my car at the same distance/angle as the guy w/ the AMS system, so here you go:
