Anybody recirculate the HKS SSQ BOV?

Has anybody recirculated the HKS SSQ BOV? Is there a recirc kit for it? How much different is the sound compared to VTA with it /and to the stock recirc BOV?

Hi I have it and I am running it VTA. I am running speed density instead of MAF which allows me to do so without major stalling idling issues. If you are using the stock MAS sensor you cannot VTA.

Yes you can buy a recirc kit, will allow the valve to sit in stock location.

If you have an open element Intake, you would be able to hear it. Not sure with stock box, I don't think so.

I do and use the HKS at the track and stock when street driven.
Like HKS for throttle response for track but its to noisy on street and makes the car jumpy.(bucks alot)

Stock valve: very quite and smooth operation very good vavle

HKS: throttle response great, run it rec and have tried vta and worked OK but did not
feel comfortable with it. Sound very loud and scares people when u drive vta and
rec sound about the same.

The VTA thing, it seems to give same readings on the AF meter as rec but the car seemed to backfire stronger. When the car gets really heat soaked while racing, when it was on rec it was just a shotgun blast when vta it seemed more like a canon

Could have been just my mind!
Which would lead me to believe there was more excess fuel in the intake.

Running the HKS rec with AMS intake and it is just as loud as VTA. However, less of the high-pitch chirping sound.

I had one that was loud as crap and then one day it quieted down so much I was a little worried. I pulled it apart and the little sealing diaphragm (not technical name) had gone bad.

I run recirc. It will run like garbage VTA on the stock MAS system. I actually made my recirc kit and it works great. Its plenty loud enough with an open element but my kit eliminated the whistle. Its more of a whoosh now.

I ran VTA and just currently went reciclulated. I got the HKS kit but the tube wasnt long enough so i had to rig my own set up. It looks legit. But I got into an accident due to the stalling issue. I found it out the hard way. If ur gonna VTA get a tune right away. Dont wait like I did then have it stall on you on the road. I dont really notice a sound difference but Im inside the car. Who knows from outside of it.

Can anyone tell me about the VTA chip though? Is it just a after market MAF Sensor?
