You are correct in the sense that it is basically an OEM ECU with different parameters. I will admit, I love JUN, their innovation, willingness, and enthusiasm to modify the Evo is extremely impressive.

In the end, if someone were to call our main office and ask about acquiring this JUN ECU, keeping their best interests in mind, I would try my best to guide them towards something that is a better bang for the buck, unless they want their Evo to be an official JUN Evo (which even then it is difficult to justify).

I think it's more a case of the juice being worth the squeeze.... To throw money at something because of the brand name and not because of actual performance... To each their own. I guess whatever makes one feel cool at an individual level.

Yeah, I don't agree with blindly supporting any product. Better be high quality and worth the money, that's just being smart.

You are correct that they are a lot of people who only purchase parts because of the name.

In the end there are companies who are known for their name and a little here and there. Just like with any other fact there are always exceptions. I agree that JUN is a company that people who associate themselves with their products, do it in at least a small part for the name.

However, JUN has also been known to provide some of the most beneficial and reliable products available in the Evo community. This might be why so many people buy only JUN; they do buy JUN for the name, because when people here that name they think of one of the best.

Just my two cents.
