check engine when cone filter fell off
check engine when cone filter fell off
so the stupid lojack guy came to install lojack.. he had to get a power source i guess and cut up the wiring wrapping near the air filter.. in the process i guess he pulled on my cone filter ...
i had a cell on my way to lunch.. drove to lunch.. about 1/2 a mile.. popped the hood.. and noticed the cone was partially off exposing some of the tube
should i be worried about crap getting in there during the 1/2 mile drive?? and how do i get rid of the "check engine soon" light

Go to advanced auto and have them clear the codes for free. Removing the battery cable for an extended period of time will turn off the light, but the code will still be stored in your ecu under dtc history.
