i/c piping help please

i/c piping help please

The next thing I'm plannin on doin to the evo after i get the new clutch installed is probably HKS intercooler piping kit.Anyone have any opinions on a better one than HKS? I also wanted to know if you have to take the front bumper off the install the i/c piping?

can't beat the quality of HKS, it's a great set. and yeah, front bumper comes off.

from what iv researched you can get the upper ic pipes with the bumper on but makes it a lot easier to just take it off

The front bumper is not required to be removed for the install of the upper intercooler pipe. I installed mine yesterday morning and it was a simple install. It may be easier with the front bumper removed but it wasn't bad at all.

thats good to hear......its usually easier for me to do things in cramped spaces than it is for the guys cuz i have tiny hands

i think any type of I/C upper piping is good, there's a lot of good vendors selling these here. if you're going for bling factor, HKS is FTW!

I have the i/c pipping by HKS and I love it! I def recommend! the FQ's use that kit also!

HKS is a multi piece pipe where NISEI has a 1 piece available. Less flex in a one piece and also less turbulence from the coupler. May be a slight advantage to Nisei.

I didn't expect to "feel" a noticeable difference with the Nisei UICP but I did. For the price I think you would be hard pressed to find a better deal.
