Kelford drivetrain question.....

I am looking to get the kelford valve springs and notice that they only sell valve springs and no retainers. Are the stock ones good enough to support a high HP application? or is there another option I might have?

He was asking if the stock retainers are adequate to handle the rest of the upgraded valve train, including springs.

The short answer is yes.

Yes that is what I was asking.

Basically what I am asking is....... I am interested in the Kelford 214-B which is the stage 2 cams with valve springs and I was wondering since they dont offer retainers, if the stock ones would be sufficient for a high HP setup or if there would be another option to upgrading the retainers that would work with the valve springs in the 214-B.

Hi, bringing this back because I have confirmation direct from Kelford that the stock retainers are fine.

What I'm still wondering is whether everyone has been measuring and ordering new 'valve caps' per service manual recommendation when swapping cams. I forgot to ask Kelford this.

Thanks for any info.
