Exhaust sounds are very subjective. Everyone has different taste. Youtube sounds are never as good as listening in person. May want to go to local meets to see what others have.

I'm a huge fan of this exhaust and I will be picking it up in the next month or so. It sounds excellent and the craftsmanship appears to be superior to many of the other systems available.

It goes from 3" to 2.5" at the split, I'm not a fan.

but with the 2 split sections, it has a total combined area/diameter of 5inches.

Combined diameter isn't relevant when relieving back pressue. You could have 4 2" tubes that are would equate to 8" and they'd result in more back pressure than a straight 3".

I have this and love it!!! One thing I will say... If you're removing your cat, do yourself a favor and get a mini muffler. I started with an AMS race pipe, but the drone was horrible!!! The mini muffler made all the difference and it sounds great. Deep sound without being a cop magnet, and best of all no more drone.

look at the split section of the specialty x, it will have back presssure of course but not that significant to compromise exhaust flow.

all exhaust systems will have back pressure to some extent unless it's a 180 degree straight pipe from point a to b.

for x owners who are critical of cosmetic looks and want to keep a symetrical look on the rear of their cars like how it was designed to look, the specialty x is a well engineered design compared to the cp-e dual system in regards to dual muffler systems.

But it seems like the mufflers ride to low if your going to drop the car though. Just my opinion watching the vids.
