Your question has confused me a litle bit but ill do my best to answer. A turbo back, as the name implies, replalces every exhaust piece behind the turbo. This includes downpipe (and usually 02 housing), stock cat, and catback (midpipe/axleback).
Since your removing your stock cat you have two options, a test pipe which is an open pipe or a hi flow cat which is still a cat just flows better. A test pipe wiill throw a cel because the secondary 02 sensor will tell the ecu that there is not a cat in place. Hi flow cats may still trip cels too though. With either application you can get a cel fix (or whatever name you wanna call it). This is a small extension, normally built from a spark plug non fouler, that is inserted into the 02 bung and then has the sensor screwed into that. This moves the sensor out of the direct line of the exhaust and will usually prevent a cel.

You can either go with only a downpipe (which doesnt seem to make alot of power), or an 02 housing/downpipe combo. This replaces both pieces from turbo to cat.

Hope this answers your question. Enjoy the X

+1 get the turbo back and just get a cel/02 fix. just a little extension that moves the sensor out of the exhaust and thus wont throw a cel. ams has them for like 20 bucks
