Help with transfer case oil change

i've been wanting to do the transfer case oil change, but after reading the instructions it seems there's more than the usual engine/transmission oil change process. specifically, there's a section in regards to bleeding the system, and using some sort of scan tool to focibly turn on the pump. is this really something i can do by myself, or should i take it to a dealer or third party that has said scan tool?

You do not need to bleed the system. Just drain and refill. There was a few threads about this if you would have searched.
