Just for an FYI, the outlet of the turbo is 2.5" so going larger at the turbo flange side isn't necessay. On my ATP O2 DP they used a 2.5" flange that was tapered out to a 3" pipe, I'm not sure what the specs are on this Megan O2 housing are though.

The MR O2 housing is a bellmouth like stock and AMS' one. Definitely the highest-flowing design.

I just had my stock one off recently, and I cannot honestly believe there is much to gain over that. It looks like it flows fairly well minus the various odd shapes... but overall there is a lot of cross-sectional area in the housing.

I'm purchasing a MR O2 housing with my FP Red, so I'll report back once I get it in a month.

I read a lot from reputable tuners that stock o2/dp performs just as good as any o2/dp out there for stock turbo.

but anywho, looks like a nice piece.

Last I saw, around $180 from most vendors.

For me, that's a $410 O2/DP/Test-pipe overall, since I already have an Invidia DP/test-pipe. Pretty unbeatable, value-wise, if you ask me.

The stock O2 housing has a 2.25" ID on the outlet. Guessing if the OD of that is the same on the Megan piece, it's got about a 2.35" ID, because the walls are thinner than on the stock cast piece, or the rough equivalent of a 2.5" OD exhaust pipe.

IMO, it should flow slightly better than stock, but isn't worth changing on the stock turbo. I've had my O2 housing off... it's not that restrictive to flow.

This is a 2-5 WHP mod, don't bother unless you're changing out your turbo anyway.

anyway of perhaps just polishing the inside to gain a little quicker flow or is it already pretty smooth?

It's rough as hell and has a few protrusions that can smoothed out a bit. Wouldn't gain that much to be honest, I didn't even bother to port it while I had it off.

yeah? Well I guess what I am asking is if the rough stuff was polished out, would it make the few hp that the the 02 housing would produce?

Daryl, i drive a RHD Evo x. So does that mean that i can't use this O2? But can i still use the Downpipe though?
