What is the power limit for stock internals and drive train?

Anyone know what the limits of the stock block, internals, and drive train are? As far as HP/TQ numbers, for the GSR. What kind of power are people running reliably on their daily driven X?

What is the weak point? What goes first?

Hmmmm. Obviously neither of you have a good idea. It continues to amaze me some the comments that get posted on here.

So, I am assuming that this is probably common knowledge by now.

Has anyone found the limits on the stock internals and DT yet?

Doghead,

We are making 614whp on a stock block right now and the car is a daily driver. This is with a standard 35R Garrett Turbo with our ETS Single Scroll Turbo Kit.

Thanks!

Michael

I have a good idea actually.
Ask a retarded question, because youre too lazy to search. Then expect a dumb response.

It's a forum people not a database. Topics will be covered numerous times and new things will come out every few times a topic is covered. No need for the attitudes. Can't we all just get along?

Short answer: no one really knows. Couple guys pushing 500+whp, some 600+whp. But it becomes a question of, how long will they last? Don't know yet as they haven't blown up yet.

Cool. So basically it's still up in the air. I see. I come from a mustang community where with the 2V 4.6L it was common knowledge what the limitations were, because they have had a lot more time to figure it out, since 96. Thanks to the guys who made real responses to my thread. I am no newbie to car forums, I did a search, I did not find a definative answer. I thought there may have been more development on the topic. For those of you with the not so helpful remarks, this is part of what I feared about joining the "import community", you are proving that image to me which I do not want to be associated with.

Ryan gates has been making over 500whp on his stockblock and has not had any problems. I think he broke a gear or something, but I am not sure if that was power related.

Search Gates311 and you will find his car. It is a full track car and still has the stock block, so I think he has put his stock block through more pain than anyone else out there as of yet.

Not power related.

But here's a post with my experience regarding the reliability of the Evo X:
