What would you recommend?

In a nutshell I think the shifter of the EVO X is a bit sloppy. I used to have a SRT with a short shift kit in it and while it still wasn't the best the throws were much nicer and seemed more solid. Anyway I have seen that you can get a short throw shifter for the evo but I have also tripped across AMS Under Hood Stiff Shifter Bushings. Has anyone used these or something similar. What would you recommend?
Thanks

I have installed the TWM shifter on my X and I am very satisfied with it. I saw a huge diff. between the gears... Much shorter gears... I would reccomand it.

I have the TWM Performance short shifter and a Blox weighted shift knob. I also have the TWM bushings. I don't have a ton of experience with the stock shifting because I put these in not long after I got the car. Since I have changed it out I have been to 2 track days and have not missed a shift or had any issues.

Mine has always had the notchy feeling others have talked about in the lower gears when driving at slow speeds. On the track and at higher RPM it isn't an issue at all. It shifts cleanly and with authority.

I have the WORKS short shifter and bushings and it's great. It takes the slop out and puts the knob in a more LHD friendly position.

Watch out for the WORKS model because I notice that sometimes I get stuck in between the 1 and 3 gate. Other than that it did greatly improve throw and shift time.

My setup consists of the TWM short throw, base bushings and weighted shift knob and AMS underhood bushings. It was like a night and day difference and feels much more positive and solid than stock. I've been very happy with the whole setup.

Base shifter bushings replace the polyurthane bushings at the bottom of your stick, and will not allow it to move forward back left or right, creating more stable shifts, under the hood bushings replace bushings at the end of your shifter cables, having essentially the same effect, your shifts are more precise and feel better.

Glad to see so many great reviews for our EvoX Short Shifter and bushing kit! It's a great combo and the shift feel improvement is awesome, as many of you have said
