Evo VIII/IX fuel pump sock for an X with E85?

Reading on here, it seems that you need a new sock for the fuel pump assembly if you go E85. Do you need one at all? From an 8/9? Which one do you need?

I know you need an external fuel filter as well since you're removing the one with the pump when you swap pumps.

Any recommendations for an off the shelf one other than URs?

Do you have an upgraded turbo? If not, you won't need a fuel pump upgrade for e85. Just use 1000cc injectors and you'll be about 90% duty cycle.

Ran out of stock pump on E85 on stock turbo:

Walbro upgrade fixed it.

Now it's on BlaqOps Progressive Double Pumper (progressive twin pumps) with a Dom2

I can't remember but wasn't that car running Bosch 950cc injectors?

Let me recant my statement. You may be ok with 1000cc injectors and e85 w/o a fuel pump upgrade.

Let me just post my friend's setup as a data point. He was running DW 1000cc injectors w/ bolt-ons and stock fuel pump. I just checked his logs and he's at about 91% duty cycle peak w/ AFRs at around 12.0.

my hb speed housing came with the sock filter.

as for a inline fuel filter, i bought the fuel lab one which is rated for e85, but that thing is huge.. so i also bought the russell competition one and will probably run that one.

on 93, I'm already maxing out duty cycles with the stock injectors @ 11.5 AFRs. I think the walbro upgrade, especially since I track the car, is worth the effort.

I've got 1000 cc injectors as well.
