Hi guys,

Right now I have a 2008 EVO X MR totally stock.

I have the Tactrix cable and I've tried a couple different maps, namely Gunzo's basemap. I am just wondering if there are any basemap's similar to Cobb's OTS maps.
(search did not reveal anything)

I am also looking at a few performance upgrades for the summer time, but I'm just a little worried about tuning. (living in Canada really sucks) I should have just bought the Cobb AP...

Ultimate Racing is pretty close to where I live, and they have a package deal that includes: Twin-tip Exhaust, Short Downpipe, Ceramic Cat (hopefully Hi-Flow), Midpipe for $1068 US.

Seems like the best bang for the buck.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

 

i have read about the welds breaking on the ur dual cbe. i have a speedcircuit cbe + tp i'm selling because i have tomei expreme ti sitting in the garage to put on if your intrested. the speedcircuit cbe it the best sounding dual exit exhaust made for the x.

ya change your upper get an intake, ams or k&n make a nice set for cheap !
i bought a megan racing catback and im more then happy for around 650
so... sounds good, welds are still holding up after 1 full year of abuse and i made the power i needed
pers, i think tet, is better then cobb...... ( but i never used cobb but what i heard is that your limited on upgrades for now )
bc you can personalize your tune,
and yes the UR exhaust kit looks really good !!

 

I believe that was an isolated event.

I'm running the UR Titanium Twin Tip TBE w/Long o2 DP as well as RRE Rally Cat resonated TP. Havent had an issue with my Exhaust, DP or any welds to speak of. Very quality exhaust, and it sits very nice under the rear diffuser so its not a bling fest for cops to check out. The Tips are perfect size and shape (really didn't like the way ETS tips looked) Quality fitment.

Good luck with your decision, but an exhaust is a great way to make more power (besides a genuine tune) and giver your X a bit more grunt!
