Urgent help required - Mist explosion!
Urgent help required - Mist explosion!
So i was poking around in my car last night installing a new radiator system and I couldnt seem to pull it out. The genious I am, I thought I found the problem. The tube that runs in a bit of an oval in front of your radiator (the one that everyone paints black as you can see it through your grill) runs downwards then into the radiator or something. I thought this was the issue so I began to unscrew it, and mist started flying into my face! I am fairly certain I pulled of a pipe holding the AC refrigerant ... can I still run the car? I obviously cant get it refilled till next week. Was it something else? Any help would be really appreciated, I got the rest of the install done without a hitch
I figured as long as I dont use the AC i Should be fine, but I was going to take my car to the track and I am concerned.
Thanks in advance!

Yes was your A/C line, your very lucky you didn't hurt yourself on that one. I would get the system evacuated and recharged. If you have moisture in the system, which I am sure you do, even for the breif moment, it would be best to do it anyway.
Should run you about $80. Its a just in case move. A/C repairs down the road would be more, so I would do this. IMO.

Thanks for the fast reply, I thought it was. I had mad reflexes and held my breath immediately lol. My friend said he never saw someone move so fast, I flew out of under my car. it will still run fine though right?
