Installed fuel rail now car RPMs jump

So like the title said I just installed my AMS fuel rail about 30 minutes ago and when I was done and went to turn the car on my RPMs jumped to 3k and then kept going up and down from there to as low as 600 RPM. Now my question is what is the cause of this? I did not think adding a bigger fuel rail would need a retune because I thought the injectors would act as a bottle neck. Also when I was doing the install I noticed that two orings on two of my injects were torn up pretty bad when I took them out could that also be the problem? Before I did the fuel rail my car would have have a hard time starting up randomly enless I just turned the car off and came back in like 5 min so I think that it might be the orings like I said before.

Thank you so much for any help.

I install fuel in my car a couple times a week and have no issues...

Sorry.. couldnt resist. To be honest, im not 100% sure but I always think that any time I change any part of a fuel system I would need to count on getting tuned. Could be creating too much backpressure or something, not sure. Do you have a FPR?

No I do have a FPR. I thought the Fuel rail was just a bolt on.

Adding a fuel rail won't do that. I'd get those o-rings replaced.

Make sure you plugged everything back in that you took off. TPS will do what your saying, you could also let it run for 10 mins and see what happens after might need to reset its self

Well every thing works now after I installed new injectors. It also fixed my issue of my car not starting up quickly as well. I had to install new ones because when I had them out 2 of them fell in a bucket of water next to my desk.
