Hi... I bought a K&n cone filter I'm gonna slap on today. I got the E-1009 which has a 3.3 in. diameter... will this work?

 

According to http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...px?Prod=E-1009 I would say no. K&N makes an intake system for the Evo X which includes piping, filter and heat shield. They also offer a flat panel direct replacement to the factory air filter designed to keep the stock air box. But just a cone filter...I don't think so.
