Tomei Ti Straight Pipe?? Should I add it to the X?

Hey guys..

I'm about to have my X tuned.. All thats currently on the car is the Tomei Titanium Cat back expreme (which I love) but still have the stock cat and front pipe...

Would it be worth spending money and adding the tomei straight pipe before the tune

Essentially will there be any larger gain with the straight pipe than having the stock cat in place...

(Also will it be louder running a straight pipe?)

Any help would be great

I would def add the straight pipe. From what I've heard the cat is the most restrictive piece in the exhaust.

You will have alot better gains from just the straight pipe. I would get on of those first.

Yes it will be a little bit louder but not too bad. If you are that worried about being loud you could get a resonated test pipe.

definitely removing the stock cat and putting a test pipe in will give it more whp difference after the tune but be aware , you might get defected if you get stopped by a police

ontop of that , it'll increase the noise of your exhaust so yeah , just be careful not to get into trouble

I'm running the Tomei testpipe with the Tomei exhaust on my 2010 gsr and i love the set up! I noticed a huge gains right away! I have the aem Intake as well that also made a big difference.

Just received my AMS Wide mouth DP today... waiting on that to get installed and tuned. I'm definitely aim around 350whp before i do intercooler upgrades.

Test pipe made the biggest difference to me out of all of the exhaust pieces. cat-back yielded minimal gains, but the test pipe was very noticeable.

if you got the $$$ or a good price its nice bling. But someone told me that you would want titanium for weight reduction and a test pipe doesn't weigh much vs a stainless steel. Don't get me wrong I love my tomei
