Anyone got this installed yet? How's the sound compared to stock? If it's close to stock sound, I'm sold.

It's between this and the Cobb right now... hmmm...

Try living in Southern California and see how many times you get pulled over with a loud exhaust.

I got mine today and put it on asap. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS! It is a night and day difference from the regular v2. My v2 exhaust was fine and didn't bother me one bit until I got a new turbo kit then it became so loud that I was embarrassed to drive it. I couldn't hear the radio unless it was on 35, you couldn't talk to passengers, I actually put my stock exhaust back on until this new muffler came in. It is so much better now, I can actually hear the turbo now!

For comparison this new quiet muffler reminds me of how a Greddy exhaust sounds. You can tell its there, but it is not the dominant sound. Now the engine and turbo are much louder than my exhaust and it is so pleasant to drive. I can actually talk to my wife and kids now, I love it.

Here is a picture, I will record some sound tonight but no promises on quality. Here is how I would rate the exhausts. I have a test pipe so that makes it louder.

Stock exh = 0

Quiet v2 = 3

Regular v2 = 8

Straight pipe = 10

Thanks for the rating. Still looking forward to your sound clip though. Are you experiencing any drop in performance?

We have it on our PT67 car as well. I can't wait to hear a sound clip on a stock car. It's going to be super quiet. When you have a turbo kit on the X the exhaust note seems to double.

Thanks for the review! We have a few more systems that have shipped out as well, so we should have a few more reviews up shortly.

Thanks!

Michael

No drop in performance. If you do the Pi*R² on dual 2.5 inch diameter pipes you can see that the quiet rear section will flow the same volume as a single 3.53" muffler which is plenty.

For comparison the standard v2 with dual 3" rear section flows similarly to a single 4.24"

To Michaels point about the exhaust getting louder with a bigger turbo: Yes, the original v2 did not bother me at all on the stock turbo, it was fine. I could listen to radio on 25 with windows down and carry on conversations easily. It wasn't until the 6262 went on and then it transformed into a totally different exhaust.

Thanks for posting up the math, I tell most customers over the phone, but never noted on the site. I will have to add it.

Here are a few pictures from the other board where a request was made for muffler pictures.

** It's hard to see from the pics, they were quick shots. But there is a curve that sends air flow from the mid pipe both directions, it's not a flat spot on the muffler inlet.

Thanks,

Michael
