Catback exhaust and intake

Catback exhaust and intake

hey im looking to get a catback exhaust and an intake. Im leaning twords the bushur exhaust with the bullet muffler or the agency power catback and as for the intake i have no idea which to get so any ideas on that... also will i need a tune after these parts are installed or is it not necessary yet

I know people are going to tell you to search!!!(which you should) because it's been discussed many times before. I'll try and be a little more helpful though. The Evo runs extra rich from the factory so you'll be fine running just a catback and intake w/o a tune. Obviously a tune will be very beneficial and you'll get the most out of the parts you purchase, while having a better running car.

As for the intake, what are you looking for? A cold air intake, short ram, or drop-in filter? With just the catback you really don't need much more than a drop-in, and it'll save you some money. If you want to hear the whoosh noise than any intake will do that for you. The only thing I'll suggest is something with a heatsheild. And also maybe one that keeps the stock MAF housing since you won't have a true reason to change with just a catback.
