Evo X UICP - Will Just The Upper Half Work?

The answer is yes, just the upper half of the upper pipe will work. We sell just the upper section for $120.00 i(includes silicone) nstead of $240.00 for the whole pipe. We have received a few PM's regarding this. Hope this helps out!

Thanks,

Michael

Is this upper half still available? I don't see it anywhere on the website. I was thinking about getting the UR UICP but then came across this.

Is this a "just for looks" mod at that point? I mean why not replace the whole pipe?

This is a low-cost mod for people sticking with the stock FMIC. The stock aluminum bend that runs to the intercooler inlet is the same diameter as the stock intercooler's inlet (< 2.5"). If you're going with an aftermarket intercooler you should do the complete 2.5" UICP.

The upper section that connects to the turbocharger is 1.75" on the factory piping, we change it from 1.75" to 2.5" and make the transition in the coupler.

This gives you the largest diameter possible giving you a better response and around a 9hp increase.

Thanks,

Michael

Hey Mike!

I ordered just the upper portion of the pipe and talked to you guys on the phone the other day. I've got one quick question though. To install the upper portion, do I also need to remove the lower elbow of the uicp? Thanks in advance!

The more I think about it, it might be easier to just come pick one of these up when I get back from AZ instead of building one...
