Help Tomei Expreme Owners...

So I just got the AMS widemouth downpipe and HFC, and it makes me want to get a new CBE too. I currently have the UR dual catback. I want something single for weight savings, and the uneven dual tips drive me crazy.

Someone on here told me to flip some pieces around but it doesn't make a difference.

So, Tomei owners, would you do it again? I like the look and the weight savings, but I'm not sure if it is worth more than the AMS single. I have heard of rattling, and from every picture I see, it seems ground clearance might be an issue. So do you think its worth it?

I found a great deal on it, but I keep hesistating to pull the trigger.

Thanks!

i love the tomei exhaust on my car, the price you pay for what your getting is second to none. When you go full throttle the exhaust has such a nice tone. I would do it all over again, and i have. I had the exhaust and sold it cause i wanna to save up for a build and just throw on a buschur or something along the lines, but i ended up purchasing another one. I have it laying on the bed right now waiting to get it installed after winter.

I guess I have to buy it now. Especially since I don't need to worry about possums. Thank you all...you are all bad influences.

Don't forget the tomei isn't full 3 inches... its got that lame bottleneck flange at the cat... also keep in mind that titanium is expensive to fix.

True it tapers to about 2 3/4" (i think the ID was about 68-70mm when i measured it).
The ID of my dump pipe is 68mm at it's flange where it meets the cat anyway so I didn't mind.
Remember the pipe is actually 80mm so the neck down looks worse than it really is
No ground clearance issues for me either, and no rattles.
Sounds great, but it DOES drone a little at freeway speeds and it IS loud around town and it WILL **** off your girlfriend/wife

But I love it!

I have this Tomei system for about almost two years now. It sounds like no other, ground clearance is ok actually, u can adjust it a bit if u want too. It rattles sometime ,well not every time, because the Delete-Pipe is so super lite weight , u can handle it lol. other then that, It beautifull, self-changing color, two types of exhaust tones low and hight and 45+ lbs of weight you losing and that is the real gain..

I dont have the tomei, but I used to drive an s2000 with a single outlet t1r titanium exhaust before I purchased my evo x. All i can say is, it's going to be loud and the last thing you want is to get one scratch on that titanium beauty. If you can deal with those 2 things, then sure why not get it. Weight savings will be there for ya, and ofcourse its going to look bad ***. Best of luck to you
