Which is a better street flywheel? 10/13

I am trying to decide which flywheel to get. The act 13.1 lb or the act 10 lb. Its going to be a "daily driver" of sorts, I have a motorcycle I drive alot in the warm months. But which would be better for street use. the 13 or 10 lb flywheel? The 13 lb is 280 shipped, And the 10 is only $13 more at 293 shipped. Based on price the 10 lb seems like the better bang for the buck. Less mass/ faster revs and acceleration. But my common sense is telling my the 13lb would be better for street use and 10 lb for more of a racing type car. Need Opinions and personal experiances with it

go with the prolite =) I've been told by a few tuners that it should be fine for daily driving

I have the streetlite. i like it now that i have gotten used to the clutch. but if i would do it again i would save $300 and have the stock resurfaced. if you get the stock resurfaced it brings it down to the weight of the streetlite. there is only a 7oz to difference to begin with anyway. I also run the ACT sprung 6 puck.

It may not be physically lighter, but it is definitely smaller in diameter and therefore its rotational inertia is lower (which makes it easier for the engine to rotate it, the same way a lighter flywheel would be easier to rotate than stock).

Don't forget to check ours out! It's 9 lbs and just $259.99 shipped, plus you get an MAP gift card valued at $28.60 if you use discount code 2011rebate during checkout

After much debating, I just ordered your flywheel, Why not try something different and break from the normal big weights like act/clutchmasters/exedy etc

-lighter in weight (pros and cons)
-aluminum (should dissipate heat more effectively)
-replaceable friction ring (potentially lower cost during future clutch jobs)

Kracka hit the nail on the head, the only thing he forgot was the significantly lower price of our flywheel

Light flywheels are great and all for street driving and road courses.

However, heavier flywheels are better for drag racing as you need that extra material to take the abuse from launching.
